Downtown PA? Try the best damn lemon soup in town.

If you're in downtown PA and are looking for a taste experience you'll never forget, do your taste buds a favor, and get yourself a bowl of lemon soup from the culinary geniuses at the charming downtown pub On Deck. The first time I experienced this taste explosion, I just ordered a pound of salt and pepper wings, when what do I receive as a complimentary side? You guessed it, lemon soup. I was a tad taken a back as I've never received lemon soup at a pub with my wings before, but it sure delivered. Perhaps the best lemon soup I've ever had, and for free with a pound of wings! I guess my only real complaint, is that I didn't get a spoon for my soup. This could have been a way to promote sharing, but with lemon soup that good, who wants to share, am I right? 5 stars.

Came here around 12:20am desperate for some late night food as nearby restaurants that claimed to be opened were all a disappointment (either closed or not serving food anymore).

Starving, my boyfriend and I ordered 2lbs of wings and a deluxe pizza. Our waitress took forever to take our order and even longer to bring us the food that was already sitting by the kitchen window, evidently ready to be served. In fact, I got so fed up I actually walked to the bar to ask the bartender if she could remind our waitress to deliver us our food - turns out she was casually socializing with some friends near the pool tables.

Anyway, when the food finally arrived almost 45 minutes later, it was disappointly mediocre. Thankfully the wings weren't dry but the honey garlic sauce was more just honey and the breaded wings could use more seasoning - they were rather bland. The pizza was subpar - the crust was thin yet tough and the toppings were eh. Overall, I probably would've had quicker service and better food at a fast food joint. Regrets.

Average.....If you want a no frills place it's for you. I lament the lack of good beers on tap. 3, taps with junk draft.  The bottle selection is fair. Foodwise the price is right, but don't expects gastronomy of any level, it's man/neanderthal  versus food/ grease here.Yes. The  food choice being the type that turns clients here into the favourite patients of high billing cardiologists everywhere! But if you want good wings,  nachos like I do,  as many of my soon to be defribrillated friends !! run on down!   Service can be very slow, it's been long known as notorious for understaffing. But if you want to quaff a few bee and  git-sum as in wings and want a taste of the flavour of a northern town without any hoity toity stuff this is it.!! Free popcorn too!!!

There are not alway a lot of women in here. Its a sports bar, so no surprise there. My hockey obsessed boyfriend used to drag me in here. You know the type of place, televisions, popcorn and sports.

They do have the best chicken wings in the town.

You can play darts, table football and pool.
